Went up and fished Birch Creek Res. on Friday. We Jeeped it in to the upper end of the lake and when we got there it didn't look to promising.Lots of algae floating up from the bottom and no activity whatsoever on the surface.Started with worm and mallows/powerbait with no success.Started seeing some cruising fish here and there so we switched to bubble and worm and started nailing some nice tiger trout along with a nice 18" rainbow. All in all we banked 10 between 3 of us.We then proceeded back to camp which was on some private land to fish some beaver ponds and small pocket water on Saturday. What a hoot! All we caught were native cutts biggest being 12".Caught at least 40 of those between us.A great weekend with some good buds.Give Birch Creek a few more weeks to get rid of that moss and that place should be killer.
