White bass are in the jumps. They are jumping in the flats just off the old river channels. Rapala and other top water baits are working well. When the fish are down inline spinners and jigging spoons are making the better catches. Largemouth are scattered. Some are coming from the drops in Lake Barkley and some from the gravel points in Kentucky Lake. Deep running crank baits are catching most. Catfish, small mouth and bluegill are only fair. Most small mouth are being caught at night on black spinner baits. Crappie fishermen have beginning to catch some nice crappie over wood along the deep drops. Minnows are working best.<br><br>TIP: Sometimes it is best to watch the national weather reports to find out which lake will have the best current.
