Look but don't touch - BURLEY - 11-25-2018 Have you ever gotten something that you are excited about but you can't use it for several months. Like a child getting a bicycle for Christmas, or snow skis for your August birthday. What do you do? You ride the bicycle on snow and ice. Well, I just got some new reels that I thought would have to be shelved until spring. Then like a hammer it hit me. I could use it ice fishing. It may be a little bit overkill, but it looks bad a**. Maybe some #30 flouro leader? Then head up to Mantua. The Sturgeon will have to wait a few months to play with this. [/quote] Yep, just a little.[] At least you shouldn't have many of those perch, trout or bass break off with that 100 pound fishing line. I'm impressed with your homemade hook setter. That would make a nice Christmas present for your fishing buddies.[] [signature] Re: [kentofnsl] Look but don't touch - BURLEY - 11-26-2018 The rod holder is a BassProShop P.O.S. like the one that broke with my rod and Robert's sturgeon. This is the only job that I think it is capable of. LOL. I got the hook setter idea off of youtube. PVC was the most common rodholder, but I had a couple of these laying around. [signature] |
