Fishing with the Navy! - DanielJRioux - 02-23-2004

I was part of a team who removed stage one from outside of Panama City Beach Florida. The way we fished on that job was they rigged some charges 1/2 way down the stages legs to bring it down. We all moved away and they blew the charges to bring down the stage for a fishing reef and we gathered around to collect the fish for dinner. Fun time but do NOT try this at home we were paid professionals working for the government. We were there to help![Smile]

Stage one was an old oil platform about 12 miles outside the St. Andrews Bay jetties. We "caught" some amberjack, shark, cudas, snappers, and trigger fish. People would not think trigger fish is any good but you skin them, fillet them, roll them in flour or batter and deep fry them, they are excellent eating.
