Re: [bowdude] K-Drill Question - dubob - 01-19-2020

[#800000][font "Comic Sans MS"][size 3]I have had my 6" K-drill for three years now and have not experienced that. I make about 2 or 3 trips a week all season long and drill an average of 6 to 10 holes per trip. I do spin the drill for about 2 or 3 seconds after finishing each hole to spin off any water/slush. Then, I lay the drill horizontal on the snowmobile rack auger holder so all the water drips off to the side of the auger without collecting on the point or fins.

That is too simple of a solution. Thanks... hadn't considered spinning off the water.

Spinning the water off. Excellent idea! I don't have a k-drill I use a lazer on my drill. LUV IT. Last week fishing with temps at almost 0 degrees had problems with ice build up i9n auger after not using in for a while sitting in sled. Have to remember that idea.
