Thanks for the review on the Shappell FX100, that isn't the brand I have but the only issue I have with my hut is the hook set. If my hut is open and just used as a wind block then there is no issue but when it's closed, I'm always hitting the top on the hook set. Can't imagine sharing it with a dog.

Love it as a wind block. I am so use to having a high hook set. My brother suggested getting use to using more of a wrist hook set to shorten the motion. My dog been going with me ice fishing since a puppy. He would not be happy if he was left in truck or home.
