I went and did that around 20 years ago and watching  that makes me want to go do it again. Looks like a ton of fun. I am with you  about the open water. I would rather fish out of the boat than fish on the ice any day! We go 5 or 6 times a year and do pretty decent from shore but that boat stuff sure looks alot more effective RE: making movies waiting for snow to melt - liketrolling - 12-20-2021 you teach me and I will take you after sturgeon Just PM me in about 3 months and I will take you and one more wind is a big dill   my elect trolling motor will hold us in 14 MPH wind  but it is hard to get a lot of poles out and catching does not seem to be to good  I like to use a anchor.
