One more Berry trip??? - dumb_bass - 04-08-2022
I took my boys and my dad up to the ladders last Saturday evening. I got a little wet trying to get on the ice, but then we found a way on a couple hundred yards north of the first attempt.
We fished in 23' and white UV cut'r bugs (man I wish Maniac was still around) with a mealworm seemed to work the best. Other colors were okay. We caught a bunch of slot cutties, had a dinner on the ice and a lot of fun.
I thought that it might be my last trip, but I still have the itch. Has anyone been up there this week? Is the ice reachable with waders?

One of my buddies wants to fish ice off at Strawberry. Does this usually happen in May? I haven't tried to hit ice off up there for years.
