Back to where it began - Cowboypirate - 07-19-2024

Went bushwacking up on the upper provo river below soapstone. This is the area Dad taught me to fly fishing. We had a cabin in that area when I was a kid. I would hike in my hip boots for hours down that river. Be gone all day. Was a lot easier to hike it at that age. A bit tougher these days. The video is all about my memories of those days.

As far as a report. Elkhair caddis and renegade picked up plenty of brookies and browns. Were no brown in there when I I fished it as a kid. River is changing but so am I.

Lots of drone footage

Cheers

Great vid...I too spent a lot of time in my childhood fly fishing that stretch of the upper Provo. Great memories!
