Saturday afternoon at Willard Bay - twoblueeyes78 - 03-13-2025 I launched from the South Marina. There were only two other boats in the water. One jigged just at the outlet into the main bay. The other moved around the lake. I also hung out mostly near the entrance to the bay. The water was a chocolate soup from the muddy spillway water, causing very low visibility, maybe 1ft or less at the launch. It was an enjoyable time; I saw 2 fish break the water. Lots of people were near and in the spillway, about 25 or so. I didn't get any bites, but as I was leaving, I noticed someone coming back from the spillway with several fish in their bucket. Water Temp: 41 Degrees. Time out: 2 hrs RE: Saturday afternoon at Willard Bay - RockyRaab2 - 03-13-2025 The spillway snaggers are out, eh? Thanks for the report, this is generally a pretty tough time of year at Willard and the period where most of us take our annual obligatory skunks for the year. Thanks for the report. Could you tell what kind of fish were in the bucket? |
