Don't forget to come back and post here once and a while. I fished Devil Creek Reservoir along with several other reservoirs in the Malad area a little less than two weeks ago. Here's a link to my report that should be able to answer most of your questions. I'm also going fishing latter today. If a friend doesn't give me a call back within the next hour or so I might go fishing around Malad. It was about 30% ice free, most of the shoreline had open water and the ice was about 30-50 yards from the shore. It was also really muddy along the shoreline. The F&G don't plan on stocking Devil's Creek this month but there are still plenty of carry over fish from last year. Also don't forget to write a report if you fish in Idaho sometime before April 15th and you might win some mooseunlimited lures. Check out this link for details on the contest. Did you catch any fish over 15" or catch any kokanee? Fill us in on some of the details if you don't mind. Thanks [signature] Re: [Guest] Devil's Creek Res - BrianID - 04-09-2004 I stoped by Devil Creek Reservoir for just under an hour yesterday. I had my 3 year old daughter with me so it wasn't a serious fishing trip. We had 9 bites but only landed three of them( one 10" and two 13" planter rainbows). One was on a worm/bobber, one on a spinner and one on powerbait/slip sinker. There can be a lot of kokanee in Devil Creek Reservoir at times. Last May the F&G planted almost 5,000 fingerling kokanee in there. I'll write up a report about the other places I fished later. [signature] |
