CANYON LAKE - JimF - 04-08-2001

The clients I had today had a great time and caught a truely
mixed bag/species. They boated largemouth to 5.5 lbs., smallmouth to 2.5 lbs., striper to 21" and several white bass.
Because they are not diehard bass fishermen and fish mainly saltwater I started them using a 2" Lit'l Fishie Shad and 1/8 oz.
Terminator spinnerbaits, but chartreuse 3" (Creme Lure's) Super Tubes and plastic jerkbaits also produced some good fish. Smokin' Green Devil' Tongues have also been good lately
worked on split shot & drop shot rigs in 12+' of water. This is the best time of year to fish Canyon Lake.
