deercreek 08/02/04 and one week ago. - Jedburton - 08-03-2004
went fishing up to deer creek for the first time last week and the second time yesterday, the first time I went out by the island and caught 1 16" walleye and about 40 smallmouth bass. most of the bass were between 10-13". Yesterday I caught 1 walleye and 6 or so smallmouth. most of the smallmouth were the same as last time,

I was there both times from about 6:30am ish to around 12:00. I tried worm harnesses both times with no luck for walleye, then tried power minnows with little luck and then usually did well on either a green (watermellon) plastic worm (non senko style) or a chartreuse and red baitbug with a small piece of worm fished slow in about 10-13 feet of water,
