[size 1]Hoppin' John with smoked Boar chops. A delicious and satisfying combination!
[/size] [ul] [li]2 cans (15 oz) black-eyed-peas, drained [li]4 smoked Boar chops [li]1 rib celery [li]1 green bell pepper, chopped, or use half green and half red [li]1 large onion, chopped [li]2 cloves garlic, chopped [li]1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce [li]3 tablespoons brown sugar [li]2 tablespoons ketchup [li]1 jalapeno pepper, chopped, or to taste (optional) [li]salt and pepper to taste [/li][/ul]Combine all ingredients in the slow cooker/Crock Pot. Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours. Serve over rice with cornbread!
