Southwest Zone - tubeN2 - 09-27-2004 APPLEGATE RESERVOIR: Anglers are catching rainbow trout in the 10-12-inch size range. Both boat ramps are still operational. Smallmouth bass are also biting. COOS COUNTY LAKES : Warm water fish are available in most area lakes. Trout will be stocked again in October as water temperatures cool. COOS RIVER BASIN : Salmon angling is still good to excellent in Coos Bay . Recent heavy rains have spread fish throughout the bay and lower rivers. Lots of hatchery chinook are moving up Isthmus Slough. Coho harvest (adipose fin-clipped) from the tips of the jetties up to Chandler Bridge and runs to Dec. 31. COQUILLE RIVER BASIN : Salmon angling is good in the Coquille River , and fish have spread upriver on recent rains.
