fishing line - chum-bucket - 12-09-2004 Hi Again I have some reels with new line on them. Its been a while since I have been fishing. The gear is kept inside my Apt. Would you risk using or losing a fish. The reels have never touched water. Or should I go ahead a put fresh line on them the next time I go. Does the line lose its power after time even though I haven't used them. So I would change it. Mono or Hyrocarbon I change once a year. Fire line on some of my rods I'll go two years if I haven't used it much. The other ones I'll change once a year. If you go out more than 3 times a week you may want to change it mid season. I'm sure the other guys have their spin on this as well. It is so Smoooooth. [signature] |
