the site he is trying to send you is Mapquest and you must be a member in order to see the map. membership is free. the map is an arial vew of lake and town around the lake

Here's one I've used for aerial photos and corresponding topo map coverage. I don't think the edge matching of the DOQs (Digital Orthophoto Quadrangles) is quite as good as as the site you pointed out, but it doesn't require a login either.
