Ventura Pier fishing report 4/27/05 - tubeN2 - 06-01-2005
We arrived at the Ventura Pier around 7:00. The water temp was around 59 degrees and the wind was blowing at close to 8kts.
Not much was happening until the sun went down. Then came the baitfish which converted into the bigger fish.
We caught a Spiny Dogfish or (Pin back) as the local pier rats call it. We also caught some thornback rays, shovelnose sand sharks, yellowfin croakers, spotfin croakers and walleye surfperch.
We left at around 3:00 am to get some shut eye and grab the 6:00 boat at Ciscos.[cool]
