They have allways been in salt water for as long as I can remember. Now they have stocked some in fresh water lakes and had good success. From what I understand it's a different type of fishing that we are use to on the coast.

Striper are an anadromous fish. They spawn in freshwater and go out to play in the big salty.
On the West coast we have both types. Some of them are land locked and never get to see the big Salty.[cool]

I get people in CA still asking how to catch trout. you must remember that sometimes people will dedicate to just one species. When they decide to try another, they could use a little help.[cool]
