Fish weight calculator - allhookedup - 01-31-2003 Need help making Or getting a code to add to our site looking for a calculator for bass weight [signature] Re: [allhookedup] Fish weight calculator - byrumjr - 01-31-2003 [#000080]Welcome to the board, I see you just registered. If you ever need more help, just ask. Hope to see more of your posts.[/#000080] [#000080]Use this formula to calculate weight. One formula is: Length(inches) times Girth(inches) times Girth(inches) divided by 800 equals weight(pounds). LxGxG/800=W This works well for "bass" shaped fish. [/#000080] [#000080]For long "pike" shaped fish, divide by 900 instead of 800. For billfish, use lower jaw fork length (inches) instead of total length and divide by 800. LJFLxGxG/800=W[/#000080] [#000080]I am sure someone knows some more ways to do it.[/#000080] [signature] Re: [allhookedup] Fish weight calculator - plecopterahopper - 02-10-2003 Here is a link to a java applet that calculates it for you, I think that it uses the same formulas that Byrumjr gave.
