Help with Lure - Spokane_Angler - 05-30-2006

Does anyone know what this lure is called? A couple old timer fisherman gave one to me and one to my wife at a lake today and within 10 minutes we were landing fish.

HI, Spokane Angler. I'm not positive, but, from what I can make of your picture, it looks like a flatfish or a kwikfish lure. Were you casting it or trolling it?

Looks like a flatfish to me. Here are some other flatfish that I own:

The come some with single trebles, and some with two trebles, and the wobble really well in the water and look like a fleeing baitfish. I've caught lots of fish with them up at Strawberry Reservoir in Utah.

I found a website that I think is the official website for them. They are made by Worden, but It looks like Yakima bait company has purchased them or something:

Yes, trolling is what they are most often used for, with lead core trolling line or regular spinning outfits.

My 74 year old Dad has had these in his box for as long as I can remember. Their his confidence bait. They just plain work.
