Lake Erie Report - haagent - 08-15-2006 The fishing on Lake Erie has been really good again this year after a few slow years. With limit catches for boats coming in after only a couple hours of fishing, and fish averaging 20 plus inches. That is what Great lakes fisherman are acustom to. Lake Erie produces an astronomical amount walleye every year, and the Captains we are in contact with are on the water seven days a week weather permitting they know were those fish are! There are hundreds of 10 pound plus walleye caught there every year, with spring and fall night trips the best chance to take those hogs. Yellow perch also has been very good this year with the Lake Erie reefs and islands being the better areas and more productive waters to try [signature] |
