Dog Creek Reservoir - idahopanfish - 11-05-2006 Took the toon out on a less than perfect day, cold and very breezy, to check out my electric motor setup and just some good ole fishin time. Had a blast! The toon and rear motor setup worked great even against a strong breeze. I found it much easier to steer than I thought. However the group of perch I found I couldn't stay over them like I wanted to, needed my anchor. I caught only a 6" perch and planter. Was using a red?white road runner and a chartreuse. Had the fly rod out the last few minutes with a brown leech and got a bump. I was only out for 2 hrs and will need to try some different socks next time, my feet got cold. the water was 42 - 44. Most of the reservoir was 12 ft deep never saw any deeper where I was at. [signature] |
