Ririe Bass? - Everet14 - 05-17-2007 Is there a consistent bass fishery at ririe? I remember going a while back and catching nothing but small fish? Does anybody have any info at all? Any would be appreciated [signature] Re: [Everet14] Ririe Bass? - windriver - 05-17-2007 Hey Everet14 Long time no hear. I flyfish for smallmouth every year at Ririe. 80% of the fish that I catch are really small. I have caught a few larger smallmouth but they are few and far between. I tied up some crayfish patterns to try and dredge up some larger ones this year. For what ever reason bass fishing at Ririe isn't as good as it was 15-20 years ago. Recently I know that two day tournaments at Ririe will have a winning weight of less than 10lbs. Few tournament fishermen weigh in a limit of bass at Ririe and many fishermen don't even weigh in a single fish. I've seen several Largemouth bass caught out of Ririe 5-10 years ago. Anyone caught or know of any LMB caught at Ririe in the last year or two? I was just wondering because my friend said that a couple nights ago him and his friend caught 25 fish, including two three pounders and a 5 pounder. They said that they lost several this size and had a couple on even bigger. I too have ony caught small fish outta ririe recently but after hearing this i was wondering if something had changed. I find it hard to believe that they did so good, but who knows? [signature] |
