SPI surf and inshore 3/23 - thegame - 03-25-2003
The beach was covered in spring breakers for at least 3 miles down the beach . As soon we got out of the crowd we stopped and fished.I caught one whiting after the other except for the few catfish that beat them to the bait. Which was frozen squid, shrimp, and mullet.the surf is warming up and the fishing too.
After nightfall we all went to our favorite honey hole by the swing bridge.We were free shrimping live shrimp in the current. Some of us used one small splitshot. We just let it drift along and waited for that tap tap.Then set the hook and hoped we could keep the away from the bridge.It looks like thing are realy picking up down here so all you fair weather fishermen better get ready to fish.
