Guess the size - Dryrod - 11-11-2007

[#005028]Buying beads can at first be a little confusing. Some quote their size in millimeters, fractions or a decimal. Here is a reference chart to take the guess work out into the open.[/#005028]

[black]You the man Dryrod. I am always messed up when it comes to beads. Lately every thing is the 7/64 but that is my Chironomids. I get the 3/32 for my smaller nymphs, but I always seem to buy the wrong size. I am printing out this chart.[/black]

[green][cool]Glad to be of service my lady. Sounds like something Robin Hood might have uttered. [Wink] BTW the last time that I stopped in at BMs and while looking at my chart the clerk mentioned that I didn't need a reference chart as they had one on each of their rack. Now who would bother to look at anything else but the hardware? Now if they only had a sign hanging over the rivers stating here are the fish. Now how cool would that be for dummies like me? LOL[/green]

Re: [Dryrod] Guess the size - macfly55 - 11-12-2007

.... I ll have to check at my local shop to see how they have it setup... I know the beads I bought before had a chart in the package that gave the size of the bead and the hooks it could be used on.. your chart seems takes it a step further and cross references the sizes of the beads.. Ill have to copy FG and print out your chart..

.. thank you for sharing..
