Drove into the ramp thinking I'd be lucky to find a space, only to find an empty lot.[
] Started fishing by 6:30 and found bait riseing at 7. Saw a perch that was dieing with a fungess so I put a crankbait on with the same color and landed a crappie. Took the skunk off the Lund right quick. Threw jigs, fluke and tubes but a watermelon salt stiock caught my first bass. Pattern seem to be shallow of the bank with a sharp drop off. Kept at it and got 5 more for the day with the crappie. Nothing bigger than 1 1/2 lb, but thats fine seeing as I was skunked the two weeks before. Could have been in a tourney, but it seems when I spend the money lately, I don't get as many fish.[crazy] Called it quits by noon and went next door to Rovers Lodge for a beer. Nothing has changed in 30 years since I was last there except no more Hulls beer.[frown] Great time with water temps at 57. They will be bedding soon.[signature]
