I took Nathan S. On a Guide trips. Nathan had a bit of bad luck today. We were going for the big ones only and Nathan had a lot of chances but unfortunately came away empty! Read the details at:

never seen one with a belly like that...

ya, there is a trick to them Long Nose Gar,

I find letting them roll after the stike helps to keep them from dislodging the hook from thier bill like mouths. Its been my experience that gar twist the hook out during the roll, much like a bass jumping out of the water attempting to thow a hook.

If its giant gar you're after, i've seen them looking more like PLESEASAURS out at the Tobosofkee spillway at Lake Tobosofkee.
