non-fish story - Timmmmmg - 07-28-2008
I was fishing at about midnight with a nightcrawler and I got a bite and it felt like something was fluttering. I reeled it in and it looked kind of like a small fish but it was so dark out I couldnt see, I took it into the boat and put it down and it spread its wings it was a frickin bat. it was hooked in the wing and it was biting at the line trying to get free. I got some plyers to pull the hook out and it bit them. When I got it out I pushed it into the water and it used its wings as paddles, I doubt it could fly anymore. Yeah if anyone else has ever caught a bat let me know. I should of got a picture but the camp was a ways away and I just wanted it to get away from me as quickly as possible.

Do you think I couldve used it as bait. The hook would probably stay in right where it was but I dont know if anything would eat it, it was probably a little less than a foot with its wings spread and it wasnt flying around I think I was dragging it through the water.
