Jackpot- On open-party boats in Southern California, there is often a jackpot for anlger who want to put in 3 to 5 dollars, with the largest legal fish taking the pot. Sharks are excluded as is sometimes fish not brought to boat by the entrant. Normally a percentage of the jackpot goes to the crew as a tip from the winner.
