Hello - Sam_IL_WI - 09-01-2009 Hi everyone. Basically I've been fishing since I was about 3 or 4, and trust me that's been a LONG LONG time ago. There's been periods in my life where I've gone for years fishing every single day, and then there's been some dry spots where I don't get out at all for months or even a year or two. This is one of those times where it's been about two years since I was last out. Last week I went on vacation to Northern Wisconsin and decided to do some fishing while up there. Pulled my ultra-light rig out of the car, tied on a little beetle spin and tossed it out along a weedline I could work from shore. It wasn't long before I was looking eye-to-eye with about a 7 pound northern pike that I actually landed with my 2 pound test line. That's all it took, too bad I have to work or I would be back out there 7 days a week! Thank goodness for the Internet for at least now my fingers won't be all ink stained from slobbering over fishing catalogs! [] Glad I found this site, it should be fun, interesting and informative.
