fluorocarbon line - ryan772 - 10-16-2009 what is better? Berkley vanish fluorocarbon or the Berkley trilene better are they both invisible underwater, does one strech less then the other? thanks [signature] Re: [ryan772] fluorocarbon line - jimhouston - 10-17-2009 berkely vanish flourocarben [signature] Re: [ryan772] fluorocarbon line - StrictlyBiznuss - 10-31-2009 Are we talking about a Berkley Trilene Fluorocarbon, or just the trileine mono? [signature] Re: [ryan772] fluorocarbon line - Martini78 - 11-02-2009 I tried them both and its a toss up for me. Vanish seems to be more brittle and prone to breaking. The 100% Fluoro in the gold package seems really wiry and stiff to me but its definitely stronger than the Vanish. Any 100% fluorocarbon line will be invisible under water. Try Seaguar Invis-X. Its around the same price as the Trilene 100% Fluoro (gold pack), maybe cheaper. I use it on baitcasters, spinning reels... no complaints. It is a little stiffer than regular mono, but overall it handles well and 8# test is hard to break even when you're stuck on a rock or log and trying to break it off. Very happy with this line and fairly price. [signature] |
