DNR adds more counties to burning restriction list - FishNews - 03-30-2010
The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) has announced that another 21 counties will be placed under burning restrictions, beginning at 8 a.m. on April 5.
These restrictions are put in place each spring to reduce the occurrence of wildfires, which can damage homes and other personal property.
The counties include Becker, Beltrami, Carlton, Clearwater, Cook, Douglas, Grant, Kittson, Koochiching, Lake, Lake of the Woods, Mahnomen, Marshall, Otter Tail, Pennington, Polk, Pope, Red Lake, Roseau, Stevens, and St Louis.
