8 weight practice - kochanut - 04-16-2010 its been along time since i casted my 8 weight, so for pratice i tossed one of my pups toys on the end today.my 8 weight compared to my orvis rod.... its like trying to cast a piece of rebar... we had some fun though and he FIGHTS!!! im ready for powell!! Building a Hardy Glass/Graphite 8 er and I want to put a 6" fighting butt for Carp.
