Lake Powell Pictures - bfishn - 04-07-2011
Caught mostly smallmouth which was a treat. I thought we would catch mostly largemouth like I have before in the spring. It was not spring there. It was 45-50 most of the day Monday. We found these fish just inside the large bays in the first few sub points and sub bays off of the main channel not in the back of the main bays where the water was 2 degrees warmer. That suprised me.
Anyone been to Powell in the last week or so? How did you do?

nice pics. Do you have any advice for someone who has never been down there. Me and my son are coming down for 4 or 5 days at the end of the month and we have never been there before.

The authority on all things lake powell is waynesword. Weekly reports and many articles on how, when and where to fish lake powell. Seems like it is red hot down there now and probably will be for at least another month.

Last weekend white spinnerbaits and black/blue jigs seemed to work well.
