Fishing in Fort Lauderdale - topshotfishing - 11-07-2011

The Purina PetCare Company from St. Louis, Missouri contacted the Happy Day Today charter boat to set up a deep sea fishing charter out of Fort Lauderdale, FL for their top 25 sales people just last week. And a quote from them directly: “Good Morning Dave,
Thank you again! I will highly recommend Happy Day Today Charter Boat.
Hope you have a great day.”

In addition to this fishing charter of five boats, they would be attending the 35th Annual International Boat Show in Fort Lauderdale at Bahia Mar Yacht Center. The boat show is the largest in the country and possibly in the world. This year it did rain just about every day, with some breaks of the rain for one hour to three hours, but either way, the show was as success. A good turn out in spite of the rain and there were many boats purchased in this years Fort Lauderdale Florida Boat Show.
On October 25th we had a stiff breeze out of the northwest at 15 mph which is a good indication for Sailfish action. When the wind blows, there is a good chance of a cold front and weather heading towards Fort Lauderdale and Miami.
With beer, soda, water and food provided for the anglers, the only thing they had to bring was good fishing luck. We left the dock and headed offshore for some deep sea fishing for Mahi and Sailfish. Within twenty minutes, we were at the sea buoy in Fort Lauderdale that sits in 120 ft. of water, the fishing methods varied from boat to boat – from live baiting from the kite and riggers to trolling baits. The anglers set up their own tournaments among the boats to make it more sporting and fun among the anglers.
The total catch on this deep sea fishing charter was seven Sailfish, thirteen Mahi Mahi’s, nine Black Fin Tunas with a handful of King Fish and a Wahoo. As the fishing contest came to an end, a good time was had by all - Congratulations to all anglers in this fishing event from the Happy Day Today and Topshot fishing team. As always we enjoyed your company and always looking forward to fish with you in the future.
