No more ROCK COD?? - EatB4URelease - 11-06-2003

Heard through the grapevine that dfg was planning on closing ROCK COD fishing as of 11/15/03. Tell me this isnt true !! Bad enough we cant fish too deep. Anyone heard of this?

[size 2]Hey Joe alot of times it's an old ruling or change so you have to look back alittle ways. For instance there is a ruling about Sheephead and Cabazon from June that is effecting now.[/size]

[size 2]Has something to do with weight that each landing records, etc[crazy][/size]

[size 2] Skippers have to keep track of it.[/size]

Hey there EatB4URelease,

An interesting thing about these specific regs is that they are structured so as to be easily altered or changed at nearly a moments notice in accordance with a number of different conditions.

It 'seems' like everytime we are able to stave off a closure, the wording of the position taken by the powers-that-be foretell of when a closure might occur.
