Where should I fish poppers? - Envenomation09 - 02-21-2013

Is there any place in particular that is good for fishing poppers for bass and bluegill?

Mantua is great. Fish over by the knoll from a boat, tube or even wading.

I've done really good on the Jordan river with them! But probably wait til it's warmer.

Any place you find vegetation, be it milfoil mats, flooded willows or reeds. Any place that has these, where the fish are relating to them should be a good place to fish a popper. Some of my best popper fishing was right at dusk on Condie Reservoir in Idaho in late summer/early fall. Sadly they drained that one last year and pretty much killed the lake off.
