Re: [Idaho] Boise River. Salmon. - Bardic - 12-16-2014

I have been out 3 times, but I sure haven't had any luck yet. First time I saw 3 people each pull one in a week before Thanksgiving. After that I went out and bought some drift bobbers and tied up some egg loop hook and leaders. Seemed to be getting the hook down in the right place, but I couldn't tell that I was getting any bites.

The water was a lot higher than the same time last year. Maybe someone else know how much they tend to spread out and how long it usually takes before they are all caught.

I'm assuming you meant Steelhead and not Salmon. The last planting I think was the Wednesday before Turkey day. There will be a rougue fish here and there still in the river and most likely very spread out from the well known planting spots.

That being said the majority of them most certainly have been harvested y now.
