Twin Lakes Crappie - fallsfish - 04-01-2015 Looking to go Easter weekend and wondered if anyone has been there. How's the water level and temp? I suppose the north shore is warming up the first. PM me if you want. Looking forward to hearing. ----fallsfish [signature] Re: [fallsfish] Twin Lakes Crappie - hooknhunter - 04-01-2015 Which "twin lakes" are you referring to? I'm assuming since you referenced crappie it must be the ones in Northern Idaho? I don't believe the twin lakes in SE Idaho have crappie in them? I usually hit it around first of June for gills and catch a couple crappie. With warm weatheher I don't know when it might be this year. Seems about a month early this year, still may be May before warm enough. I suppose the north shore will be the warmest first, so may start there. Is there a better place? [signature] Re: [fallsfish] Twin Lakes Crappie - gorfish - 04-02-2015 It depends. If it rains a lot & new cold water comes in. How high the water is in the lake. If there is a lot of water & it gets up in the trees, it will be shallow causing it to get warm in the South lake for spawning. You can fish the whole lake but the fish will be found at only 4 or 5 spots in large numbers. [signature] |
