Duchesne or north fork report - souprgrover - 06-30-2015 Has anyone been up to and fished the Duchesne or West fork of the Duchesne? [sly] West Fork Duchesne River, Duchesne and Wasatch counties From the confluence with North Fork upstream to the headwaters, including Wolf Creek. •Limit 4 trout, only 2 may be cutthroat trout or trout with cutthroat markings. •Artificial flies and lures only. •CLOSED Jan. 1 through 6 a.m. on the second Saturday of July. [signature] Re: [souprgrover] Duchesne or north fork report - BDUtah - 07-01-2015 I am curious about the Duchesne also. I haven't fished it in years. Absolutely beautiful river. I remember an epic Green Drake hatch in 2005, I think it was - my brother and I landed numerous 18 to 21 inch browns in that hatch. The big fish in that river are beautiful, but can be difficult to catch if there is not a hatch going on. Never tried streamers - that might work in the early morning or late evening this time of year.
