Fly Fishing Flaming Gorge Carp? - Envenomation09 - 02-21-2016 Anyone on here ever fished for carp at FG? I was looking into it and have heard some awesome things about the carp size and aggressiveness. I also hear the cicadas can be great fun for carp and other species up there. Just looking for advice on flies and where to go. Thanks. [signature] Re: [Envenomation09] Fly Fishing Flaming Gorge Carp? - joshomaru - 02-22-2016 They are SUPER spooky and line shy. This last summer, I had a perfect cast in slightly choppy water, and I watched this fish literally move around my fly. I haven't figured them out yet, but I can tell you they will eat other fish, and crawdads. Good luck! I was using the rust colored pattern. Hope this helps!!! [signature] |
