Orlando area info needed - albinotrout - 04-08-2016 Hi, I am planning a trip to WDW in February and my wife has given me the green light to do a little fishing. I have been checking the resort area I will be staying at and they have a small pond or two that I can fish in with stocked bass, catfish, bluegill, and sunfish. If you want to know the resort it will be Port Orleans Riverside. I am from the west so I am used to fishing in clear waters and deep reservoirs. My questions are as follows. I plan on bringing my own gear. I have a 3 or 4 piece baitcaster. It will have 12 lb mono on it. I will also bring a few spinnerbaits, plastics for Texas rigs, curly tail jigs. Since I don't know the waters what will I be expecting to deal with? Clear water? Murky water? Average water temps? What colors of baits should I bring? Licensing issues- will I need one of dishing on Disney property? Any other ponds I should look at visiting? I ask now so that I can plan ahead and have things ready to go. I look forward to fishing in a new state. I appreciate the help and info. Thanks!
