The Strongest Braid Knot When Wet! - ScubaChris - 06-12-2016 When plugging or surf casting braid a wet braid knot could slip under extreme applied pressure. I've found simply doubling the process of tying a palomar knot works well. For thicker braid you'll need to apply lubrication to the braid to cinch the knot. For the past few weeks i've been fighting sharks, trevally, & large rays with no problems with the modified palomar. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AAQy5H0Kt_E [signature] Re: [ScubaChris] The Strongest Braid Knot When Wet! - shor - 07-06-2016 I do a similar thing with the polomar knot. After I go through the eye and do one overhand I simply do another and then pass the swivel or hook through. This I finifh off with few double overhands. Never slips [signature] |
