Hey guys fairly new here just curious about the conditions at fish lake? Can you get out on the ice on a side by side? Also now that I've logged in to this it won't let me read any posts? Says good news and bad news.....is this something I've done wrong??

Last weekend open water at Joe Bush so be careful. It's struggling with ice this year.
I would think you will get some info. due to the perch off yesterday.

I heard that the tournament was call off at 10 when the wind started blowing away peoples tents.
Will be interesting to hear what happened.

That is correct. They did call the tournament due to extremely high winds. I seen several tents tumble across the ice. The fishing was decent. We caught most of our perch in 8-15 fow. There was a side by side with tracks and a snowmobile helping people get off when the wind picked up.

It was HELL! Lost my new clam xl6000tc to the wind. I had all 12 anchors in! It was unbelievable, it hit my 10 year old daughter in the nose, and my 8 year old daughter and 10 year old got blown to the geound! Scared the hell out of them , and me. Never had that happen before. Talked to people at lodge and they are going to go gathering Wednesday. Hopefully I get it back, at least for parts. Luckily that was the only thing lost of mine, and my girls come out safe!

Was it possible to get a wheeler or a side by side around on the ice? Or even to the ice for that matter??

There was alot of snowmobiles, a few wheelers one side by side with tracks out there. Might be too much snow after this storm though but you can try, I would!

That's too bad about your kids. The tent can be replaced and I am sure it was upsetting to lose that, but when it comes to having kids out there and the weather turns it can be down right terrifying for a parents. Glad you all got off the ice and it was not worse. It would be a wise idea for those hosting the event to go out on sleds to gather what they can find and try to get it back to people by word of mouth or posting on here. Hope you get your shelter back.
