Deer creek 1/29
#1
I fished DC this afternoon. Pretty sure I was fishing rainbow bay, not real familiar with the area. The catching was really slow, but the weather was great and marked quite a few fish. Ended up with 2 browns, 14 and 16 ". I haven't caught a brown in a long time, so that was exciting. 1 was about 25' down in 40 fow on a Hali jig w/ a wax worm. The other was on a tipped slender spoon 15' down in 30 fow. I didn't measure the ice, but it was thicker than my hand is long. Lots of wildlife running around. Good day.

Thanks for the report! I fish DC a lot during the warm months. Good to get some vicarious joy from people who brave the cold stuff.
