Mantua about done? Tues. A.M.
#1
Mantua not quite done yet....Started fishing about 0845 today, already about 5 other groups on the ice....temp about 20 * to start, ended in the mid-40's....so a very nice day on solid ice.....my buddy got into a lot of pretty nice rainbows; I iced 4 accidentally....I was targeting bluegill and perch....perch never showed up, but the med. and larger 'gills were there to play.....average 'gill size 81/2", largest today 91/4".....;great fish! The bite for me (bluegill) started about 11:15, and off and on lasted 'til we left at 1:30....Butterworm is what they wanted today...Guluk...

Thanks. I usually am off to the next thing by now, but I think I'll squeeze in one more visit to Mantua.

Think she'll hold a week?

Pretty sure we're heading back again on Fri. A.M.....I know they're talking about rain in the valley, but maybe it'll hold off 'til late aft. or eve. .... I don't know, last Fri. P.M. we were fishing in the rain at Pineview and did very good, and the tents sure make it doable, so a little rain shouldn't matter.....if we do make it out, I'll post on it again....Guluk....
