Drove by Echo and saw one brave soul on the West side ice. Most of the ice doesn't look too good.

Fished Rockport open water on the East side. 4 hours no bites!

Saw another brave soul on the West side ice of Rockport! Wow! Also, saw one guy with a canoe/kayak. Really a transition period.

I think the water need to warm a little more.

Good for you, getting out there to give it a try, too bad the fish did not want to play. When we made that last trip up there and saw the conditions we figured it was over for the year at RP and Echo but there are always a few brave souls that are willing to give it a try. From the sounds of it, Echo is your best bet right now for some last of the year ice fishing, for those two lakes and even then you got to be careful on the edges.
