Flaming Gorge Utah kokanee stocking

What I would like to know is, does Utah send Kokanee to the WY side of Flaming Gorge to be stocked?

This took a phone call to WY game and fish since they don't publish

their stocking numbers on line.

These totals are combined efforts between UT, WY and the Jones Hole

federal hatchery and are distributed throughout the Gorge. The

target is 1.6 million annually.

2012- 629,000
2013- 971,000
2014- 1.5 million
2015- 1.6 million
2016- 1.6 million

Looks like good times to come.)

No, Utah does not stock their side, just the Utah side. Wyoming does their own.

That's some good news and should make for some good fishing if the burbot haven't ate most of them.

With having a good teacher I think that I will have a good chance at catching a few this summer once I get the boat running.
