Had myself a day today!! Strolled out to echo about 9:30am today walked out on the east side where the ice is pushed up onto the bank 5' up (fell on my ass twice on the bank ice). The ice was fine to walk out on without a plank in spots but it's sure to be rotten in the coming days likely by the weeks end. Fished a test hole in 40 FOW caught one perch right away as my fishing buddy rolled up but decided to set the tent up closer to shore in 33 FOW. The fishing was hot all day matter of fact I've never seen it like that! Rainbows galore all in the 16-17" range, perch were biting all day biggest catch was around 8", and I even pulled 3 Browns off the bottom that measured 17-18". Couldn't tell ya the final trout count which means it was a hell of a day but it was somewhere between 15 and 100! But probably closer to 15. Perch count was roughly 20-25. If echo graces you with one more outing be sure to take some nightcrawlers!! Glad to end the season on a high note! Cheers 🍻
